2013 Global Staff Conference – Evening Day 1: Campus Outreach Vision

Ephesians 3:20-21:

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

The story of Campus Outreach is one characterized by “God bringing revival through multiplication in his own way and on his own time.” C.O. started over 30 years ago through someone willing to take a phone call at 3:00 am from a student needing to talk.

The vision of Campus Outreach has stayed the same throughout the years:

Glorifying God by building laborers on the campus for the lost world.

It started with one franchise (Birmingham) who partnered with the local church,  started small, and laid a foundation for the generations to come.

John 15:8 says

By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.

God has been working in the ministry and expansion of Campus Outreach since the beginning:

  • 2x rate of expansion

  • 70% increase in students attending Summer Training Projects, Cross-Cultural Projects, International Summer Camps with a 19% staff increase

  • 100% increase in African American staff

  • 50% of international staff are now indigenous staff

It’s amazing what can happen when people work together and they aren’t concerned about who is getting credit. What’s more amazing is what God can do when we are concerned about Him getting the credit.
