[Post Conference Devo] 1 Peter 4:11

1 Peter 4:11

whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

‘Take my life and let it be consecrated, Lord to Thee’. This song we like to sing does a great job of unpacking the verse for us. It’s helpful to think slowly over the words of the hymn and pray each line as a prayer. My moments and days, my words, the work of my hands, the pace and purpose of my feet, my silver and gold, my heart, my relationships, my whole life and everything in it belongs to Christ for the display of His glory and the extending of His eternal dominion. Father, take my whole life and consecrate it – set it apart in everything – as an instrument made holy, useful to You (2 Tim 2:21) in the work of exalting Your Son Jesus.
